The Crew of 25 Hill needs your help. They need to a few thousand “extras” to come to Derby Downs on Sunday, July 25, which is the day after the International Soap Box Derby Championship. Of course they want everyone to come out Saturday for the championship, but they need the crowds to return the next day for the filming of 25 Hill, Corbin Bernsen’s movie about and to benefit the Akron-based All-American Soap Box Derby. Bernsen is re-creating the Derby for filming.
The movie also needs about 500 extras on July 26-28 at the Springhill Sports Complex in Green. The same number of extras is needed on July 30 and 31 at Baruth International Raceway, the Soap Box Derby track in Cleveland.
There will be drawings for prizes, food vendors and other fun things to do in the “down” time between scenes. Families can come make a day of it – bring the lawn chairs, the pop-up tents and a desire to see a real Hollywood film in the making.
VITAL INFORMATION: All who wish to be extras should send an email to treycaldwell25hill@gmail.com ahead of time. You will receive call times, wardrobe instructions and other important information. Please do NOT show up that day and expect to be part of the movie. Questions may also be sent to treycaldwell25hill@gmail.com.

Only if I can dress as a ZOMBIE!!!
I highly encourage everyone who can do this to participate! I did it on the Drew Carey Show 13 years ago when they were filming in Cleveland. It was a blast (!) and you are contributing to the community by doing it. Also, the Soap Box Derby needs our help!!!
I live in Santa Barbara CA and I am planning to help by seeing the movie! My dad was a Goodyear Derby volunteer Official and gave up two Saturdays each summer for many years to be a part of a great community tradition!
Long live the Soap Box Derby!!!
I would prefer not to dress like a Zombie for this one! The Dead Next Door was enough!
)
I do think this is a great project and everyone should try to participate!
Great for Akron, Great for the Soapbox Derby!
