With classes at the University of Akron back in session, that can only mean one thing — Sunday brunches at the Crystal Room Restaurant soon will be back as well.
The first one of the school year is Sept. 12, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The brunches are prepared by students in UA’s School of Hospitality Management. Proceeds will help the students pay for their trip to the New York International Hotel and Restaurant Show.
The brunch includes an omelet station, a carving station with flank steak, smoked salmon with pineapple cherry chutney, and chicken francaise, as well as an assortment of side dishes and desserts.
Cost is $13.95 for UA students and senior citizens, $16.95 for adults, and $9.95 for children ages 3 to 12. Children younger than 3 are free.
The Crystal Room Restaurant is at 200 E. Exchange St., Akron, inside Gallucci Hall. Parking is free. Call 330-972-6615 for reservations.
