The two-day Great Lakes Burning River Fest — a fundraiser for the nonprofit Burning River Foundation — continues from 1 to 6 p.m. today (July 24) at the Historic Coast Guard Station on Whiskey Island in Cleveland. Tickets are $10 at the gate. The event includes plenty of live music, food, vendors, environmental displays and, of course, beer. The highlight for beer drinkers is the release of a fresh batch of Christmas Ale, the popular spiced beer that is reserved for the holiday season. Wright Pils and Burning River also are available. The beers are $5 each. Be warned, though, if you’re just interested in beer. The event is much more about the music and environmentally friendly displays.
